From the very first time we heard the insanely catchy and outrageous 212, we’ve loved Ms. Banks at PBHQ.

Fantasea is a 19-track mix tape combining her standard fiery electro beats and fast, sometimes aggressive lyrics. 

There has been criticism that the album doesn’t sit together well as a whole. But then Azelia herself said that the album happened “by mistake” and that the album is “letting go of a ton of old ideas.. songs I started but never finished”.

But for many, us included, this is what appeals the most. It teaches us about the relative newcomer’s musical tastes and ideas. It’s like a ‘trial run’, as Azelila put it in a recent tweet!

Fantasea is the first offering from Azelia, and it lets us know whats in store for the next couple of years. If these are her unfinished ideas, we can’t wait for her second (more organised) album.

Stand-out tracks for us are the title track Fantasea, Fierce (hilarious at times), F*** Up The Fun, Jumangi and Esta Noche (which radio 1xtra have been loving too!).

P.s. As a side note, this album is GREAT for the gym/running. Not that any of us have managed to make it there much recently. It’s too cold and food is more appealing.
